upgrade, salvage & update current older printer(s) or 'sell' and "upgrade" to modern?

I went the cheaper route and bought a new reliable printer. Buy a new machine. Centauri carbon, cheap as snot, bulletproof, can print anything, enclosed chamber, I print ASA all day long and just ran some TPU, it's a great machine. Before this I was always working on the machine, i never got to print, so I said hell, it would cost me more in parts to upgrade the machine i had to make it work - so i went the cheaper route and bought a new reliable printer. I still get to tinker, but on things I WANT to tinker on WHEN i want to tinker, not because I HAVE to and it BLOCKS me from printing. Big difference.

On sale P1S w/AMS or Centuri Carbon?

I returned my CC and got A1. CC stopped printing after 2 days (nozzle error and completely stopped feeding the filament). Would get P1S, but eventually opted for A1 as it's enough of a printer for me (and it's newer and out long enough). But... I will get a P2S if they're going to do it in a year or two🤣

Elegoo Carbon Centauri vs QIDI Q1 Pro

I just looked up the Q2. While it looks to have great features, the MET certification appears to be related to the air filtration system, not the electronics. While 5 months should be enough time for issues to emerge, the issue I saw was that Qidi actively attempted to bury any information regarding their faulty products, so the issues may not be apparent at first glance. As far as the printer itself, the Q1 Pro was excellent, and if the Q2 is made to the same standards, I'm sure it will be as well. The CC is capable of printing ABS and Nylon, But the chamber should be preheated via the build plate heater. I haven't printed either on the CC myself. While I have seen people get excellent results from ABS and Nylon on the CC, I can't say how consistent the results are, nor what needs to be dialed in for the results. Either one would suite your needs. the CC is cheaper, can do everything you're asking if it, and can always have a chamber heater added later if needed. The Q2 offers more head room for higher grade filament and has the availability of multi-color/material support.
